Marty has been with “Helping Kids be Kids Again” since the beginning in 2004.  After a brief meeting with his friend Marc Arthrell, Marty quickly decided to jump on board and help organize a golf tournament with the hope of raising funds for the local chapter of the Children’s Wish Foundation.  In just a few short years, Marty has helped HKBKA by organizing one of Ottawa’s most successful charity golf tournaments.  Marty acts as the key liaison with the golf course as well as with several of the major sponsors. 

During the day, Marty is a real estate lawyer with one of Ottawa’s largest law firms, Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP.  In this capacity, Marty advises clients on issues relating to the purchase, sale and financing of residential and commercial properties.  Marty’s practice also includes commercial leasing, land development, business law and wills and estates law. 

Originally from Sudbury. Ontario, Marty attended Laurentian University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Political Science/Law and Justice.  Upon graduation from Laurentian University in 1999, Marty relocated to Ottawa where he attended the University of Ottawa in the law program.  In 2002, Marty graduated from the french common law program and was called to the bar in 2003.  Marty joined Perley-Robertson immediately following graduation from the University of Ottawa and has been there even since. 

Marty and his wife Melanie are proud parents of a son Jonathan. In his spare time, Marty enjoys golfing, traveling and playing music in a local blues/rock band.
